Get your ANNUAL BCI check done tomorrow at NKPD

A representative from the Attorney General’s office will be at the NK Police Department tomorrow, August 18th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm to process BCIs.  Please remember to print the release forms, bring your license, and a check.  Cash is not accepted.

All BCIs expire at the end of the school year regardless of when it was completed.

MORE INFORMATION: 

Rhode Island residents shall apply to the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) Department of the Attorney General for a state criminal records check.  The cost is $5.00 payable by the volunteer along with a preaddressed stamped envelope.

To complete a BCI send the following to:

RI Attorney General

Attn: BCI

  • A signed and notarized release for information (on the back of this form)

  • A copy of one of the following photo identifications:

    • State Issued Driver’s License

    • State Issued Identification Card

    • Passport

  • Check or money order (NO CASH) for $5.00 payable to BCI

  • A self addressed stamped envelope for return to yourself  in which case you must bring it to LINKS

  • to have it sent directly to LINKS at

Note you will not necessarily be notified of receipt of your BCI by LINKS

However, if you fall into one of the following categories, please contact LINKS for the procedure as set forth by NKSD for a National BCI:

1) Non RI Resident

2) You have lived in RI for less than 1 year

3) You are chaperoning an overnight event or field trip regardless of residency
