Thank you to all who celebrated and contributed towards Mr. Ferrario’s retirement party. You helped make it a VERY special event for our beloved principal. He enjoyed his favorite Italian food (eggplant parmigiana) while we played a quiz game (learning all bout the “man behind the man”). Then we paid tribute to him with a song performed by Mrs. Rosendale, followed by a speech given by Kate Porter, then children held up letters spelling out “Mr. Ferrario, Stony Lane Loves You More !”. The evening continued with a slide show reviewing his many accomplishments and a homemade bucket list for Mr. Ferrario…where he received several gifts for his retirement. In a show of profound gratitude and appreciation, SL families and local businesses made donations towards his retirement gifts. We were able to provide him with a book complied with the children’s retirement suggestions and artwork, a plush hamster, a Gift Certificate to Orange Leaf, GC’s to (5) local RI restaurants, GC’s to PPAC shows, a trip to Key West and a trip to the Bahamas. We ended the evening with a flash mob dance to Mama Mia, and then Mr. Ferrario danced down the aisle of students & parents. Families then wished him well in the exiting receiving line. Your participation and well wishes left him speechless. (All continuing shows of support in the form of gifts are still being accepted and will be presented to Mr. Ferrario.) Thank you for helping to make the event SO successful. We are truly blessed to have such wonderfully supportive and fun families and staff at our school!! Enjoy some pictures below!
