Stony Lane’s Outdoor Garden Club had a fantastic year! Not only did their harvest totals increased dramatically over previous years, but the students also participate in a wildly successful 9/11 service project. Students at Stony Lane Elementary created Tin Can Herb Gardens that were small enough to be placed on a window sill. The tin cans were decorated with colorful bands, and each had a plant care tags. They donated their cheery mini-gardens to the families of their local NK Food Pantry. The communication from Stony Lane this year was outstanding, which we much appreciated! We loved learning about all of their projects and the impact that they have made.
And a special shout out to Margaret O’Farrell and the Outdoor Garden Club!
